Thank you!

By volunteering with Dementia Prevention UK you’ll be part of a movement that believes in the power of education to change the future. Whether you’re looking to volunteer once a week, month or year – there is a role and team waiting to welcome you.

Who is Dementia Prevention UK

Dementia Prevention UK is a charity that helps people harness the power of knowledge to control Dementia. We are committed to providing people with knowledge, support and tools to improve their chances to prevent or delay Dementia.

Our people are vital to our mission. Our pioneering spirit is reflected in the energy and drive of our staff – all of whom play a key role in helping realize our vision.

Our Vision, Mission and Values

A world where people understand that they have a key role in beating Dementia.

To raise awareness and to educate the public that Dementia is not an inevitable part of ageing. By modifying lifestyle and embracing cognitive stimulating activities, we can reduce the prevalence of Dementia.

Integrity– Our work is inspired by the most recent breakthroughs in the field of dementia science.

Inclusion and diversity– We provide access to knowledge and practical tools for dementia prevention to the public.

Impact– Our community work delivers change and influences people, their families, and their network.

Curiosity– We continue to learn and push ourselves to find new innovative tools to prevent dementia.

Collaboration– We work in collaboration with universities, research bodies, charities and other organisations to bring new knowledge and the best service to our clients.

Why volunteer with us?

Our volunteers tell us that volunteering is fun and rewarding, and it gives them the opportunity to meet new people and have new experiences. But most importantly, it’s their way of helping us defeat Dementia.

Many of our volunteers have been affected in one way or another by Dementia. Often, they’ve cared for a friend or family member with Dementia. Volunteering for Dementia Prevention UK is their way of being part of the community that is fighting back.
